Dayle Fischer Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, Dayle was surrounded and strongly influenced by native art from an early age. He began artistically carving wood in the mid ‘90’s. This made a profound impression, adding passion and a new direction. As he carved, his focus was elsewhere, looking down in amazement wood chips were flying. The hands seemed to know what they were doing, and time disappeared with no awareness. The wood speaks, and creations flow. One of his greatest complements came from a Haida Indian Band Chief, of the Northwest, who commented how well Dayle captured the native spirit in his art He now resides in the artist community of Taos, NM working full time Carving Wood, Creating Sculptures and oil painting. Northwest tribes, Mystical and Ancient native cultures of the Maya, Aztec, and Inca have had the greatest influence in his work to date, and of course life in Taos NM. an experience unto itself.
